New Years Eve is always the event of the year. I personally love any excuse to get dressed up, glam a little more than usual and drink endless amounts of champagne around the ones I love. This year was one of those years where I just did not feel like my feet hurting from a new pair of heals and feeling a wine-over in the morning when I wakeup. As I'm sure most of you are feeling right now.
I still wanted to make it super special with the ones I love and of course do a little makeup with some of my favourite products right now. I kept this face look very simple but still sparkly and paired it with a deeper lip for some color.
For this low coverage but still contoured look I used;
Aveda medium tinted moisturizer ( I always start with a moisturizer so my skin feels softer and it preps my look better )
Using a beauty blender I consoled with Mac Pro Long wear concealer in NC20 and finished with Mac mineralizing powder.
For my contour I always use Kat Von D contour kit! I love a powdered look I find it a lot softer and more natural which I personally love!
.. And of course Becca in Pearl to finish off any look is my personal go to
I have been currently loving and over using my Anastasia Beverly Hills Master Palette by Mario. I find it super pigmented and easy to use so it is my favourite for any holiday look.
I used " 5TH AVE " as my base and a mix of NYC AND MUSE for my crease. I love the bronzy look it gave me and it went well with our casual night at home. I wanted to look new years nice but not new years downtown nice!
For my Eye browns, lip sticks, eye lashes and highlight I used a combination of Mac products. Santa brought me a lot this year and I wanted to play with all of them to see how they work. Makeup for me is really fun, I love nothing more than playing a good song, drinking some wine and playing with different colors, brushes, techniques.
I am super interested in showing you guys tutorials on how I achieve these looks step by step so stay tuned for that in the near future and make sure you subscribe! I hope you guys enjoy a few makeup tips and my favourite products I am sharing with you!
As for our low key New Years ... It turned out great, my boyfriend and I and our family's had a really nice dinner, played lots of games, had lots of laughs and popped lots of bubbles at midnight. No better way to end 2016 and start 2017 than surrounded by the ones I love.
I hope everyone had a safe and fun new years surrounded by the ones you love!
2017 is going to be a big year and I am excited to take you all on this journey with me!
